he Nicaraguan cocoa farmers and Zotter are connected by an intense collaboration. For three years, Zotter, in cooperation with the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and two NGOs, was involved in a development assistance project for the cocoa farmers. The project "cocoa instead of poverty" should offer the peasant farmers a secure income. Zotter committed himself as buyer and advised the farmers in terms of quality.

Two out of three cooperatives left the project.

The cooperative UNCRISPROCA continues to deliver cocoa to Zotter. With success: "Nicaragua 50%" was voted the best milk chocolate in the world in the international chocolate test and comes, as do many celebrities, from ordinary circumstances.
